Abstract submission

In the meeting we will have slots for contributed talks and poster presentations representing current trends in Israeli conservation science.
We welcome contributions from everyone working in the field of conservation, both students and seasoned conservationists.
Abstracts will be reviewed by a scientific committee. Acceptance will be based on scientific rigor, innovation and relevance to conservation science, management, policy or education. Preference will be given to talks that have not been presented in other Israeli conferences.
Abstract submission will end on the 6th of September, 2022.

The scientific committee will review the abstracts and notify the authors by September 15th, 2022.

- A 15 minute oral talk (12 min. talk+ 3 min. Q&A).
- A poster presentation (with a 2 minute speed talk presentation).
The scientific committee will review the abstracts and notify the authors by September 15th, 2022.
Guidelines:
- Abstracts should begin with a clear statement of the topic or objectives and provide a brief description of methods and major results.
- Abstracts are expected to end with a substantial conclusion.
- Do not use vague statements such as “results will be discussed”.
- All abstracts should be written in English.
- All oral presentations and posters should be spoken/written in English. Hebrew contributions will be considered only under special circumstances.
- Abstracts should be no longer than 200 words.
- Abstracts should not include figures, tables or references.
- Abstract text will be inserted in the dedicated section below.
- You are also requested to write a 30 word summary regarding the conservation implication and importance of your contribution
- You need to choose a general topic for your contribution – from the list provided below:
Biodiversity / Conservation management / Conservation planning / Conservation policy / Conservation sociology / Ecosystem services / Endangered species / Habitat/landscape/ecosystem conservation / Invasion biology / Protected areas / Restoration / Education / Climate change - A competition (with prizes) will be held for the best student talk/poster (MSc or Ph.D.).
- All presenters (with accepted abstracts) must be registered to the conference and pay the registration fee by the early bird deadline (25/09/2022).
